A LA SOMBRA

En esta obra descansan identidades y secretos sin identidad. A la sombra consiste en una serie de cajones donde están entrelazadas fotografías sin revelar. Allí se encuentran atesorados rostros de personas que, en lugares diferentes, han compartido con Lina Leal confidencias de toda índole. También están custodiadas imágenes de objetos y emplazamientos, pistas de toda naturaleza que permiten comprender sus espacios sociales, los mundos que gestaron esas historias. Todo esto se encuentra superpuesto, articulado y desarticulado a la vez, para representar la complejidad de cada relato, detrás del cual hay una vida, una trayectoria y un universo que la hizo posible.

IN THE SHADOW

This work embodies identities and secrets with no identity. A la Sombra is a work consisting of a series of drawers interlacing photo-negatives of undeveloped photos. They treasure people’s faces in many places that have shared confidences of all kinds with Lina Leal. There are also guarded images of objects and locations, clues that permit the understanding of its social spaces, the worlds that develop those stories. All this is over-lapped, articulated and un-articulated at the same time, to represent the complexities of each narrative behind which is the life, the trajectory and the universe that made it possible.
